Tied together grew from an abstract thought I had after looking at a picture of an old pair of shoes, it got me thinking about relationships an how they are a little like shoe laces, we become tied together in our day to lives.
Eventually that relationship becomes as routined as putting on a pair of shoes, that can be a good thing or a bad thing for some, I questioned are some people holding onto one another or are they struggling to let go.
lyrics
Tied Together;
Tied together for a few hours each day
Trying to get through this journey any old which way
Are you holding on
struggling to let go
Are we just, shoe lace lovers
with nowhere else, to go
At the end of the day
You go your way and I go mine
Are you tired of keeping it together
Going out in all kinds of stormy weather
Torn apart at the end of each day
are you waiting for that stranger to pull you away
With one foot on the inside
and the other out the door
how long can we keep on walking
up and down this floor
Are you holding on
struggling to let go
Are we just, shoe lace lovers
with nowhere else, to go
At the end of the day
You go your way and I go mine
Are you tired of keeping it together
Going out in all kinds of stormy weather
Are you happy with your loose end
is the grass any greener my friend
Are you happy with your loose end
is the grass any greener my friend
At the end of the day
You go your way and I go mine
Are you tired of keeping it together
Going out in all kinds of stormy weather
Are you holding on
struggling to let go
